If you were following my Instagram while I was in Brazil a few weeks ago you were probably over exposed to my surreal romance with heading south of the equator again. I am yet to post my photo and video diaries from Brazil, where I hope can justify my affection for my time there. I honestly have no idea why I hadn’t aimed at getting to South America sooner instead waiting for something to come up with reason to go, and kept returning to Europe that I knew better to travel more comfortably on my own. After being refreshed and excited with Brazil I realised how much I would love to spend weeks and months travelling South America, and hope that that can come true one day. Thank goodness this collaboration with Luiza Barcelos came about, because I have absolutely fallen in love with it within just 8 short, whirlwind days and cannot wait to get back.

Hey from sunny LA! I arrived in LA a few days ago and couldn’t be happier to be able to appreciate the sunshine before going back to NYC for the next few weeks, hearing of the horrible hurricane and snow storm that I miraculously timed to miss. On a much more petty note, I had my honey (yes, I travel with tea and honey) erupt through my suitcase and have had even more limited clothes than normal.

I was here in LA to meet with the awesome Citizens of Humanity crew, who if you follow me on Instagram set up a great few days of getting to know the City of Angels with a surfing lesson in Malibu, tacos from Kogi food truck and dinner at Mr Chow all after experiencing first hand all of the TLC that goes on behind their signature jeans wear. So happy that my beautiful friend Andy is here to have fun being sexy in wetsuits, falling off our surf boards with, and accidentally dress like twins every once in a while.

If you’ve been following me on Instagram you might of noticed that I arrived to Brasil a few days ago. It has already been a whirlwind trip from Belo Horizonte and arriving last night in Rio de Janeiro, unfortunately haven’t found much time to post yet but the inspiration has been endless. I am here for a collaboration with Luiza Barcelos, an incredibly talented and welcoming shoe designer based in Belo Horizonte. My friend Chiara is also here, and it is so nice being able to both share our first experience with Brasil together.  I have been so excited to come see and experience Brasil for so long, and cannot understand why I hadn’t made it a priority to come to South America sooner. If you have any tips for Rio or Sao Paulo please let me know! Much, much more to come…

Paris Photo Diary Part 1

1/ Loving Paris with Nicole  2&8/ Birthday fun  3,10,11,19,25/ Louvre  4/ Maurie & Eve under the Eiffel Tower  5/ Marais apartments  6/ Walking through the Tuileries  7,13,14,17,18,24, / Eiffel Tower  9/ Vintage shopping around Rue de Rosiers in the Marais  12&22/ Tourist at the Louvre (wearing Givenchy top, J Brand pants, Zara boots & PS11)  15/ Lover outtakes  16/ Postcards from Paris  20/ Ornate light posts at Concorde  21/ Picnics at dusk watching the Eiffel Tower sparkle  23/ Place Vendome  26/ Cheesy fun with Nicole  27/ Wine at Pont Neuf at dusk with Nicole and Nadia

I think my favourite part of being back in Paris this time was the fact that it was with my beautiful friend Nicole. Paris is a city that no matter how many times you go, every time is such an amazingly different experience. Being there with Nicole while she was seeing everything for the first time took me back years of when I first stood under the dwarfing tower with a best friend, champagne for my 21st on top of the tower and even getting to spend some brief time there with my sister. The last time I left Paris I was a blubbering, exhausted mess after trying to sort everything out when my hangbag was stolen, and I couldn’t be happier to come back and fall in love with it all over again. Nicole, Nadia and I stayed together and when we weren’t playing around the beautiful apartment we were sharing wine by the river, tower or Marais restaurant fronts.

I didn’t have time to scour the cities vintage stores again like pervious years but I did get to visit a few- Vintage Desire on Rue de Rosiers in the Marais, which even if you don’t find something in the store it is my favourite part of Paris to get lost in the streets. There are large crowds on weekends, so I recommend going early during the week which will give you much more space in the vintage stores for ample rummaging time. Just around the corner are Free’pstar, Frip’irium and some I hadn’t seen before that I don’t think even have names. Unfortunately I didn’t find something I adored this time which is kind of a blessing as I had absolutely no space left in my luggage to have to do the repack ‘shuffle and sacrifice’ I do too often.

Milano Photo Diary

I can’t believe I’ve never done a proper photo diary from Milan before. Milan isn’t number one on my must see list of my beloved Italy (Cinque Terre and Venice in particular), but if you ever get a chance to spend a few days there it will not disappoint. Wandering the main square and backstreets, amazing gelati, shopping, and obviously the ridiculously attractive and well dressed people in town during FW. There is still so much more I didn’t get time for/feel the best while there but I always take that as another reason to go back. It is safe to say my favourite thing about Italy is the food- and I always demolish my pizza or tagliatelle before remember to take a foodstagram… The absolute best thing to do in Milan is still visit the rooftop of the Duomo. There is something so hauntingly magical about it that makes me gasp no matter how many times I’ve been blessed enough to see for myself.

After a brief stopover in London with Nicole to repack our shared luggage bag, we’re now in Paris. The rain is relaxing and refreshing, but the sudden cold snap has me wondering how much longer I will last in the North…

Hello New York City! I can’t explain how good it feels to be back here. After months of travelling and having contradicting feelings of somewhere between on edge and excitement in Europe, to being so welcomely dwarfed and overcrowded here pretending it is my second home. I’m here for a fortnight altogether for not only enjoying every sight seeing moment in the city but also NYFW, and can’t wait to share it all here on the blog and through the eyes of the Nokia Lumia 900 I’m trialling. The comfort might also be thanks to seeing so many familiar faces from home- my stupidly talented friend Tom who is helping me with photos and  Nicole, Sara and Marg are all my apartment roomies and also here for NYFW.

First few days back have been spent adjusting from Europe time and trying to figure out my wardrobe situation (laundromat that has decided to be closed since the day I handed over everything I own). Sight seeing from Top of the Rock, Time Square and the views from the ferry from Brooklyn Flea Markets. Does Barney’s new shoe floor count as sightseeing too? Two weeks here will not be anywhere near long enough.

Unfortunately I don’t have a complete history of my Instagram’s from my European summer trip due to my iPhone being stolen in Paris, but I wanted to share some of my personal favourites. It has been an absolute whirlwind and I can’t wait to show you a video diary I’m currently working on to give you more of an insight! There has been so many amazing moments on this trip with not only the places I’ve been but the people I’ve shared it all with. I was sad to be leaving Europe knowing the chapter of summer adventures were over- but as soon as I landed here I have the all too familiar feeling of knowing why I keep moving forward. Hello NYC!

I also want to say an enormous thank you to everyone who follows me on Instagram– there is no way I ever imagined passing 200,000+ followers. It has meant a lot to me being able to instantly share some of the incredible things I’ve been blessed enough to experience over the last several weeks… much more to come!

It feels like a lifetime ago that I was in the French Riviera. Soaking up the best of the brief rays I’ve had on this trip and these film photos throw me into nostalgia for the amazing week that was. I’d been to Nice twice before but it wasn’t until this time with Marta and Peter that I really fell for the French Mediterranean.  Fingers crossed I get back there in this lifetime- but I have to remind myself that I won’t explore more of the world if I keep re visiting where I’ve already been… keep moving forward!
